MEC For Moms

Welcome! You are here because you are an auntie mom, a new mom, a mom of adults, a woman wishing to be a mom, a mom who has lost. I am sure that my greatest skill and gift has been motherhood. I am also sure that the hardest job I have ever endured is being a mother. I have felt victorious, afraid, alone, lost, confused, gangsta, and proud. Sometimes all at once. I am sure this is the job that is least understood, ever-evolving, and the scariest. Mom guilt and pressure have to be the hardest thing we often inflict on ourselves while bearing the expectations and worries of the world.  It only made sense that the signature initiative of Minds Empowered would-be mothers. 

I started by hiring all-black women. This evolution of a focus on mothers was natural and very needed. This space is for us. A place for moms to have blogs that support and represent them. A place to have resources to continue your greatness and have support as you endure this powerful job. It is also the place to find a group to bring you balance and clarity.  

Our Kitchen Pantry will have resources to support your needs and our Dining Room Table section is where you will find the groups and therapy. Groups rotate throughout the year. They will always be the main support group to vent, share, learn, and grow. We have other groups such as fertility, trauma, teen mom, blended family moms, entrepreneurial moms, and many more to guide and support you.   While the love of our children, nieces, nephews, stepkids, adopted and many more are a blessing and the best thing we could have, there is nothing like a supporting place that explores you and gives you the room to grow and release.
